Ingredients:

  • 2  cup  luke warm milk
  • 1/2  cup  granulated sugar
  • 2  teaspoon  salt
  • 2  tablespoon  dry yeast
  • 1/2  cup  warm water
  • 2   eggs
  • 1/2  cup  shortening
  • 7 1/2  cup  flour
  • 1 stick   melted butter
  • 1  cup  Vern's Toffee Toppings
  • 2  cup  confectioner's sugar
  • 3  tablespoon  hot water

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F. Mix together milk, sugar, and salt. Dissolve dry yeast (or 2 yeast cakes) in warm water. Mix together eggs and shortening. Combine all liquids except yeast and begin to gradually add flour. After about 2-3 cups flour have been added to liquids then add yeast. Continue adding remaining flour. Mix until easy to handle and then knead the dough. Place in a greased bowl to rise until double. Punch down and let rise again. Roll dough then spread with melted butter and sprinkle with Toffee Toppings. Roll and cut into 1 inch slices. Place in greased pans and let rise again. Bake 30 minutes at 350F. Make glaze by adding hot water to confectioner's sugar until it is desired consistency. Glaze cinnamon rolls once they have been removed from the oven, but while they are still warm. Enjoy!
